A couple of weeks ago I was out with one girl, and she was totally into me and I liked her too, she asked me what I was waiting for to kiss her! and I just didn't feel right kissing her yet because I *needed* to get a buzz first. I've also realized I don't have a good time when I go out unless I get a buzz.. I think there is something not right about that..

I think she just didn't want her friend to catch you two kissing, so she made up an excuse.

So it would have been pretty rude for her to start making out with you as soon as her friend went to take a piss.
I have noticed a simular thing when I tried to kiss girls for the first time when dropping them off at their parents' place or at work. Especially when it is your first date with her, the people around her will know this and she's probably affraid that it will make her look easy.
