Captain Jack's Grande Adventures: I Think Most People Are Losers and can’t fucking stand hearing their bullshit drivel….

Ha, what a Fucken cool article. I see it as a way act like a complete asshole, and not feel regret or guilt for doing so.
Dr. Blanton doesn't really advocate absolute honesty. That much was obvious when he recommended that the journalist tell the waiter that 'the coffee tastes like shit'. What he really means is being able to say what you want without giving a shit what anyone else thinks; being an asshole.

However; with that said, the fact that he is attempting to back it up with scientific and/or spiritual beliefs truly gives this ideology its weight. Not because the scientific/spiritual bullshit actually means anything, but because when you act like an asshole (which can be appropriate at times, especially in the context of pickup) and feel bad for acting like one, you can say "oh well, I'm only acting like an asshole because a guy with a PhD says its healthy". Hahaha

The author of that article is a schmuck. Honesty should be like Howard Roark. You can be completely honest without running around being an asshole to everyone. Perhaps the problem is he is still seeking approval from everybody, and attempting to get it by slapping them in the face.

I am interested in the book though.

I enjoy A.J. Jacobs writing for Esquire. He also wrote a cool article about personal outsourcing that is the bomb! Honest.

I read the book before I read the article and I have to say that the article is actually far better and more interesting. Parts of the first half of the book are insightful, but the second half is off topic ramblings that made no sense to me. I think Blanton is basically a crack head, but I like the idea of radical honesty and have incorporated parts of it into my life.

In parts of your life, ya sure, radical honesty can play an important role. Radical Honesty is great for when you are standing up for yourself and it can propel you forward in the work place if someone is trying to take advantage of you...

But radical honesty is IMO... limited. Once the other party decides to use the time honored method of decit and NOT let you know their opinion or where they are coming from; once they decide to hold their cards close to their chest after you have just layed yours out on the table... you have just lost power.

In terms of PU, radical honesty is again limited. A direct opener of "You got cute tits" or "Were you just checking me out" is drastically different from radical's approach of "Wanna fuck".

If Blanton gets laid and has sex with dudes using "Wanna fuck" more power to him... but it has been my experiance that high value girls don't answer yes to a "Wanna fuck" opener.

That's where the community comes in. To change your mindset from that of scarcity ie "She's hot I wanna fuck her" to an Alpha mindset of "She's cute... I wonder if she's worth my time." With the correct mindset, Radical Honesty could play a more important role.

Still, the idea of running around and socially violating by farting and belching unapologetically... displays a lack of social intution and is unattractive. I don't know of a single, non-married guy who does that shit.

    Oh captain, my captain.

This article is way too cool. I've been using it as a personal routine, cause its so congruent with me, and is just great. Girls love it.
