I have no idea what they really did as I wasn't there but I know of and have been to clubs that you could only enter after seeing a sign and getting verbally asked/warned before paying cover that you could be filmed and by entering you were giving consent.
I'm willing to bet that's how they did it.
Plus, I've seen Mystery in person and those are the same class of responses he was getting.

A lot of the PU101 instructors are WEAK. That Johnny Depp Lookalike is a joke. i read his blog and it's full of rehash of PU and philosophy. He wont last a minute in a bar with the rawsome Pirate. How dare he even talk to Captain Jack?

Over on Tynan's(or Herbal's) website forum the vh1 show is being discussed.
He's lived in Austin Texas and is friends with Evan, the girl who was telling Spoon(?) about her health and diet and whatnot, saying he was rude to ask. She posts there too.
And they've been posting that everyone had to sign a form agreeing to be filmed. Basically, just what CJ had suspected.

I got to second the comment about the weak game of PU101 instructors. I have personally witnessed 2 instructors tried to PU their own "supergirls" during bootcamp.
If you look at the kind of girls they have in pictures, granted, they are in SF, but still... good/decent looking guys with ugly ass FOBbish asian girls?! These guys are pathetic.
